Soil Erosion Solutions with Polymers

4/14/2020

Soil erosion is a natural process that can cause severe problems to any site or project if gone unchecked. Without proper planning, strategies and soil erosion solutions in place to control or prevent erosion related issues, the consequences could be very damaging. For example, eroded soils can enter bodies of water which in turn may raise water levels and clog culverts. Additionally, pollutants such as pesticides, herbicides and oil can become attached to eroded soils that are entering these water ways contaminating our waters. This can be harmful to humans, fish, animals, and plant life.
Luckily, there are some simple and proven soil erosion solutions including: vegetation, retaining walls, and polymers, to name a few. Polymers specifically are used to prevent erosion on slopes and control sediment runoff. All polymers are not created equal and it is important to conduct research and due diligence when looking for the best erosion control polymers.

Environmental Products & Application’s mission is to provide you with a safe, cost-effective way to control soil erosion. Our Envirotac line of non-hazardous polymers, when applied will penetrate into the soil and upon curing it will bond the soil particles with a nano polymerized grid. This will literally laminate the soil particles in place, yet have tensile strength to avoid cracking. The treated area becomes very resilient to wear and can withstand the elements, including wind and water. The Envirotac line not only reduces erosion, but it also increases germination rate and eliminates washouts, all while providing better erosion control to your site.

At Environmental Products & Applications, we strive to manufacture the highest performance polymers in the soil stabilization, erosion and dust control field. We engineer and manufacturer the highest performance dust control polymers and we operate on the lowest margins due to the volume and demand of our customers.

Proper soil erosion and sediment control is critical to minimizing the impact on human life, the environment, and property. By implementing the proper soil erosion solutions, like the polymers in the Envirotac line, you can win the war on erosion no matter what project you are working on. Let Environmental Product and Applications help you make your site safer with polymers.
